Done at last! (like fourty years later)

This has been a major one for me, I really loved Return of the Crimson Gaurd because of scenes like this. Rell facing of against Ryllandaras the man Jackal is in my head one of the funnest reads I've had in the Malazan book series. I tried to capture the action from an even eye level while getting as much motion and aggression out of Ryllandaras as possible.

I know theres plenty to work on but I think the idea sells it. Looking at it I can see Rell as the underdog facing impossible odds and that was important for me. I think I had the biggest instance of growth working on this.

Huge thanks to the ME forum. everyones advice really helped me get the scene right, its as much the groups as it is mine :).

This is FAN Art based of the malazan book of the fallen as written by Ian C. Esselmont and Steven Erikson.

Its awesome, go read it!

That is an awesome picture. And you did a great job on it. I am currently reading Ian Esslemont's 3rd book and have noticed that he is improving by leaps and bounds with every book he writes.

And I like every book he has written so far!

Ian Esselmont is not on par with Erikson but I too think he is actually rather good in his own right. He covers some great events and I respect him alot for his willingness to deliver the awesome in large quantities...

I have yet to read Stonewielder and OST but I look forward to it. he does seem to get better.

This is AMAZING. Insta-fave. Unfortunately not much truly good Malaz art out there, but Hood's breath this is astounding. Good job.
